I'm about halfway through this game and I still haven't found any puzzles. In RPGs, I really like the fact that you have to think about something before beating a quest. With this, you only need power, and a bit of strategy. I think that you should have to use your brain a bit more to advance throughout the game. This is only my oppinion, but I still believe that it is more of a strength over brains, which isn't really that fair.

I like this idea.. but it probly would not remain a puzzle for long, people would pay to have others help them with it if possible... aside from that i think its a great idea

Ya, I agree, but for those of us who would actually try the puzzles by themselves should have the chance, and this aspect should be incorporated into the game.

I've suggested this before. Personally I'm fed up with Guild Wars sucking so fun cking much. I'm quitting, it's so ridiculous. I'd rather play a real RPG that takes skill. This game just takes a warrior. This game is shit.

They have the teleporter sequence thing :P

Guild Wars is a puzzle in itself: you have to find the right combo of skills to be effective.

theoretically all the missions are puzzles, what do i do to get the bonus, etc.

although i admit its a pretty weak explanation.

personally i never missed them, but it would be interesting

Theoretically? It's just a game. A game that stinks with no puzzles at all. This game is souly based upon killing endless waves of monsters and also contains garbage such as an economy, no fun because they are trying to hard to get rid of bots instead of letting players have fun, and use of false advertising by saying this game has no grind and is playable for skill right out of the box. Somehow warriors can kill a mesmer if they both are set up for general attacking, and since they can choose to bypass your teams tanks, no matter how skilled you are, you are just a walking target with no use, and by the time you realize anything about the game and skill you already are stuck with the profession you started with in pre searing. This game is making me puke, I know I'm not the only one fed up with this shit. It's a shame I've wasted money on this, it had potential but somehow they were able to make this game horrible. I'm going back to more fun games like Pokemon and other role playing games that actually give you a role, fun, and take skill to play. Seriously. I'm actually saying that I'd rather play Pokemon over Guild Wars. That's how low this game is.

Oh right, teleporter sequence thing. Ok, so four buttons in a simple order is considered a puzzle? I think any puzzle that has 4 pieces isn't considered a puzzle unless you are a toddler. Guild Wars isn't a puzzle within itself. You have to grind to get all the skills you want, capture skills, find all the skills so you actually know what all there is to choose from to make a good game plan out of, then you can find the right combo of skills to be effective. But since when is strategizing a puzzle? There is no puzzle here. Oh wait, I'm sorry. I forgot that it took a lot of skill to kill a devourer that I saw at the beggining of the game that I'm still seeing right now while in the desert here. Wait a second, haven't I seen this ettin in the ring of fire and the shiver peaks?

1) How many RPG players play for puzzles? Do you want to push around boxes or something?

2) You can pass PvE with just about any decent set of skills. You could run around with half a skill bar and still win.

3) "But since when is strategizing a puzzle?" Strategizing is FAR more complex than just a puzzle.

Also,

A puzzle that remains the same would easily be solved by future players. A puzzle that changed enough to stay fresh to thousands of players would be hard to maintain.

4) So the monsters have the same character models. Hey, let's put in individual models for each of the monsters and make the game take 1,000 times longer to load and play because of lag and graphics limitations!

5) Kai Nui, go somewhere else. This was a decent thread until you showed up.

yeesh man wheres all this hate coming from

id argue and tell you that in 1-1 a mesmer can send a tank home crying but you wouldnt listen...

meh i think you need a good guild to help you thru the mission you continuously failed on. and let me guess where it is...

ive noticed alot of people going thru the 'im about to quit' stage because they couldnt do thirsty. find a friend to help you out and gw gets that much more fun. besides, theres always fun in getting a guild started, getting all your characters with funny looking armor, and over time ul start to see gw isnt as linear as it looks.

approaching this from the other end of someone whos beaten hoh to the point of boredom, i can see my argument basically unraveling backwards...
